THC(m)RR ‘26 Day 1…

Left to Right, JP Tondreau, Marshall Jankovsky, Howard Adam - all in pub repose.

Day 1 report.

The rain stopped - at least for a while for some of us.

The field set out in good order on a 230km jaunt to Woss via the seaside and back to Sayward Junction by way of the mountains and a sinkhole!

The sinkhole was safety-marked with jungle curb stones. No one was lost in the abyss.

All returned safely, some wetter than others and the days scores were as follows

Marshall Jankovsky 1417 time penalties over 32 timed legs.

JP Tondreau 1545 TP

Stan Shingler (fixed flat) 1939 TP

Peter Francis 6147 TP

Bar these, the TP scores were 19200(!) due to missed timing gates.

Tomorrow’s route heads off to Campbell River by way of the seaside and back to SJ across the Campbell River catchment basin/lakeland.

More tomorrow.
