The Great Canadian (motorcycle) Roadbook Rally - the Thursday loosener.
Now with the roadbook to go with the Gaia route…
The event opens Wednesday evening 1 July with sign-on opening around tea time. The schedule for Thursday is the Prologue for the timed riders (to set the Friday start order) in the evening. While we wait for the full field to arrive on Thursday, early arrivals might like to try their hand at this 110Km “loosener”.
The route profile is shown, lots of up and downs and representative of the three full-day routes you will encounter.
This is the roadbook for this Gaia route
It doesn’t have the speed instructions or the timing gates of the competition routes proper…
Expect this route to take about four hours. It is probably blocked with snow at the moment and may be for the next six weeks. Check the forecast…
This is a self-guided Gaia route taken at your own pace and under your own management. Ride it alone, ride it in groups. Just let someone know when you leave and when you get back.
It is a route I have ridden many times before, and i will ride it again before the event weekend to confirm it is all hunky-dory… unless you ride it before me!
If you get out there before me, let me know how you get on!

Is spring coming yet…?
