GoldRiver400 2024. Canada Day weekend thurs 27 June to Tues 2 July. Four full days, first call.

Think the north island gravel roads have been done to death....? I'm only just getting started!

This is the first announcement of the third GoldRiverXXX Wilderness Navigation trial.

The GoldRiver400 (naturally).

Four full days of gravel wilderness roads by Gaia, Roadbook or Roadbook plus Richta TSD Regularity.

Minimum of 100 miles each day, probably more than 200km each day more like.

Four full days.

Routes start and finish in Gold River.

Arrive on Thursday afternoon and sign on. Check your tech

Routes on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Canada Day Monday.

Monday evening, presentations.

Go home Tuesday.

Expect steep, loose, gravelly, exposed wilderness roads, some of which will be overgrown but passable.

For cross-country bikes (adventure, dualsport and trail).

Bring tyres that are more off-road than on-road.

This is not a race, speed or rallyraid event. It is a test of your cross country riding skills, your navigation and your precision with speed.

Bring the family, camp out, make a holiday of it. Book your ferries when you sign up.

Entries will open in December. I already have one entrant! Nope! Two entrants! GB and ÖvenMän. Woohoo!

I look forwards to your company!
