The second day of dustmas - boy, we are all tired

GoldRiver XXV, day The Second.
The marathon day.
The opening rounds of the day’s challenges was a harder-than-expected climb up a very pebbles earthy slope.
Event helpers were on hand to haul those that needed hauling before the “apparent chockstone “.

The stone is real enough. The chock it appears to cause is only apparent. The way is to the right.
Then on with the 300km with two Passage Controls. Much more for those that took wrong turns.
After tired minds looked at the scores, there is a three-way challenge for the lead
Owen Partaik, Christian Pelletier and Neil Barbisan.
The win tomorrow will depend as much on who doesn’t make mistakes as who turns in a stellar performance.
Congratulations though to everyone who started today as everyone made it around the course.
More tomorrow, I’m off to bed!
